Aichologist offers private AI conversations, an emotional journal, and mood tracking. It is designed for non-clinical self-reflection and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, medication advice, or emergency services.

Information We Process

When you use Aichologist, the app may process:

• mood scores, selected feelings, selected prompts, and response-mode choices;
• conversation messages, topic titles, check-in text, and background material you choose to import from text, files, or public share links;
• conversation memory, source references, and automatic emotional observations used to provide continuity and your course;
• generated reflection summaries and your save or memory-consent choices;
• a Firebase account identifier and the name or email address Apple provides when you choose Sign in with Apple;
• limited product-interaction events, such as app opens, onboarding completion, check-in starts, completed reflections, paywall views, purchases, and restores;
• app-install and session attribution information used to measure acquisition campaigns;
• community posts you explicitly submit, your public pseudonym, interests, support reactions, reports, and blocked-author preferences;
• subscription purchase history and entitlement status used to provide paid features; and
• basic technical information needed to operate the app and backend service, such as request timing, service health, and error logs.

How We Use Information

We use this information to provide app functionality: responding to conversations, recalling relevant details, producing guided reflections, synchronizing your journal and mood history, showing emotional observations, operating optional community features, and troubleshooting service reliability.

AI Processing

Your messages, relevant conversation history and memories, imported background material, and check-in content may be sent to the Aichologist backend and OpenAI to generate responses, memories, and emotional observations. The service must access this content for processing; this is not end-to-end encryption. AI-generated observations can be mistaken and are not clinical assessments. Do not enter information you do not want processed for these purposes.

Saving, Accounts, and Memory

Lasting conversations require Sign in with Apple. Complete conversations, selected imported material, memories, mood entries, and generated observations are associated with your account and synchronized through our backend. Sensitive message and memory text is encrypted before database storage, and the app protects its local conversation cache. Retrieval indexes and operational metadata are also processed to operate memory; we do not claim that every derived field is encrypted. Quick mood entries can be kept locally before signing in. Earlier guided reflections retain their separate save controls.

Your private conversations are not visible to other app users. Relevant details may be used across your topics; topic settings let you control this. You can inspect memory sources, correct or forget memories, and delete messages or topics. Automatic emotional observations start enabled and can be turned off in Course / Seyir. Turning them off stops new observations and clears readable automatic analysis; your messages and independently saved mood entries remain. Numerical AI mood estimates are not provided.

Imports are previewed before being added to a topic. Temporary import stages are kept encrypted and expire or can be cancelled. Import only material you have permission to use. If you export a conversation, the resulting file is not encrypted by Aichologist; its protection and sharing are under your control.

Deletion

You can delete individual messages, topics, memories, or saved records through their in-app controls. Settings also provides permanent account deletion. Account deletion removes associated application data and queues identity cleanup; failed identity cleanup is retried by a background worker. Deleting application data cannot recall exports or material already viewed by others, and does not promise deletion of any independently retained AI-provider or operational records.

Optional Community Pulse

When Community Pulse is available, participation is optional and separate from saving private history or allowing memory. Contributing requires Sign in with Apple, explicit community consent, and confirmation that you are 18 or older. You choose and confirm each individual saved record; consenting does not publish past records, future saves, or future syncs automatically.

For a selected record, the server uses its mood score, UTC day, and a fixed theme you choose. Community contribution records remain internally linked to your account and source record so we can enforce ownership, count participants fairly, and honor withdrawal. They are not anonymous records inside our systems. Community Pulse does not publish conversation text, notes, reflection summaries, account identifiers, or individual contribution records to other users.

The pulse shows only rounded distributions for fixed, completed UTC weeks. A selected theme and week must include at least 50 distinct eligible account owners before results are shown. These thresholds and rounding reduce disclosure but do not guarantee anonymity, representativeness, or protection from every inference.

Contributions are excluded from status and pulse calculations once their source timestamp is 90 days old. A cleanup worker runs at startup and hourly to remove expired contribution records; if cleanup is delayed, expired records remain excluded from results. This schedule also applies when new community participation is disabled. Consent records remain until account deletion.

You can withdraw an individual contribution, revoke community consent, delete the source record, or delete your account. Withdrawal and revocation remain available when new community participation is disabled. Revoking consent removes all of your contributions; granting it again does not restore them. Source-record and account deletion also remove the linked contributions. Future pulse results are freshly computed without removed contributions, but an aggregate already viewed by someone cannot be recalled.

Optional Community Posts

The community feed is separate from private conversations and Community Pulse. Sharing a post requires Sign in with Apple, confirmation that you are 18 or older, and explicit confirmation of publication. Only the text you compose for that post, your generated pseudonym, its topic or intent, and public support totals are shown to other users. Private conversation text and memories are not automatically turned into posts.

Basic automatic checks withhold flagged abusive text, links, and contact details for human review before publication. Other posts may appear immediately after submission and remain subject to moderation. These checks cannot detect every harmful message. Do not publish personal contact information or details that identify you or another person. You can report a post, block its author, undo a block, and delete your own post. Reports and account linkage are retained internally to handle abuse and ownership. A pseudonym does not guarantee anonymity: the content you write may identify you. Deletion removes a post from future app views but cannot recall screenshots or copies.

Analytics, Attribution, and Purchases

Aichologist uses Mixpanel for limited product analytics, AppsFlyer Strict for app-install attribution and campaign measurement, and RevenueCat to provide subscriptions, purchases, restores, and premium entitlement status.

We do not send your conversation text, imported material, memories, free-text check-ins, mood values, selected feelings, session identifiers, or generated reflection content to Mixpanel or AppsFlyer. AppsFlyer Strict excludes access to the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) and the AdSupport framework.

Tracking and Advertising

We may advertise Aichologist and measure campaign performance using install and device identifiers processed by attribution SDKs. This version does not access IDFA. We do not sell personal information, and conversation content, memories, and mood values are not sent to our advertising or attribution SDKs.

Safety

Aichologist may detect self-harm, harm-to-others, abuse, immediate danger, or severe disorientation signals and show safety-oriented support. The app is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person right away.
